Story Summary
At Kurukshetra, with all preparations complete, both sides take stock of their forces. Warriors are enumerated and classified, strengths and capabilities are assessed on both sides. Duryodhana sends a final message through Uluka, filled with arrogance and threats. The Pandavas respond with firm resolve, ready for battle. As the final night before war approaches, both sides reflect on the events that led to this moment—the exile, the return, the failed peace attempts. The war is now inevitable, and both sides accept it. Warriors prepare, strategies are reviewed one last time, and the stage is set for the great battle to begin. This story also sets up the Amba story, which will be told as the final story of Udyoga Parva, providing crucial context for Shikhandi's role in the war to come.
