Arjuna's Voluntary Exile
“When honor demands penance, a warrior's journey begins. Twelve years of exile, three marriages, and a path that leads back to destiny.”
Story Summary
After the kingdom is divided and Indraprastha begins to flourish, a simple mistake changes everything. Arjuna accidentally enters Draupadi's chamber when Yudhishthira is with her, breaking the sacred privacy rule the five brothers had established. Bound by honor and dharma, Arjuna chooses voluntary exile for twelve years as penance. His journey takes him across kingdoms—from the underwater realm of the Nagas where he marries Ulupi, to the kingdom of Manipura where he weds Chitrangada, to sacred pilgrimage sites where he performs penance. Through years of travel, he grows in wisdom and skill, preparing for the destiny that awaits. This is a story of honor, penance, and the winding path that leads a warrior back to where he belongs—and to the love that will change everything.
