Building Alliances

As war looms, both sides seek allies. But when Krishna offers a choice, wisdom and greed reveal their true nature.

Story Summary

With Duryodhana's refusal to return the kingdom, both the Pandavas and Kauravas begin seeking allies and building their forces. Envoys are sent to various kingdoms, and kings choose sides based on loyalty, grudges, and strategy. The most significant moment comes when Krishna offers both sides a choice: his powerful army or himself alone. Duryodhana, driven by greed, chooses Krishna's army, while Arjuna wisely chooses Krishna himself. This decision reveals the fundamental difference between the two sides and sets the stage for the great war ahead.
