Krishna reveals where worshippers ultimately go. 'Antavatt tu phalaṁ teṣāṁ tad bhavaty alpamedhasām'—the fruit gained by those with small understanding is perishable. 'Devān deva-yajo yānti'—worshippers of gods go to the gods. 'Mad-bhaktā yānti mām api'—My devotees come to Me. This verse shows the ultimate destination: those who worship other gods go to those gods (material, temporary), while those who worship Krishna come to Krishna (spiritual, eternal). The fruit of worshipping other gods is perishable—it ends. The fruit of worshipping Krishna is eternal—it's Krishna Himself. This connects to verse 7.22's teaching about obtaining desires and establishes the key distinction.
How this ancient wisdom applies to your daily life

You see people worshipping different deities and obtaining different results. You think: 'Where do they ultimately go? What's the final destination?' This verse addresses that question. Krishna says: worshippers of gods go to the gods, but My devotees come to Me. The fruit of worshipping other gods is perishable—it ends. The fruit of worshipping Krishna is eternal—it's Krishna Himself. Understanding this helps you see the difference between temporary destinations and the eternal destination.

Do you see the difference between temporary destinations (worshipping other gods) and the eternal destination (worshipping Krishna)? Where do you ultimately want to go?
