Bhagavad Gita Chapter 16, Verse 19
तानहं द्विषतः क्रूरान्संसारेषु नराधमान् | क्षिपाम्यजस्रमशुभानासुरीष्वेव योनिषु ||
tān ahaṁ dviṣataḥ krūrān saṁsāreṣu narādhamān kṣipāmy ajasram aśubhān āsurīṣv eva yoniṣu
These malicious people, who are cruel and the lowest among men, I repeatedly hurl into demonic wombs in the cycle of rebirth.
Krishna describes the consequence of demonic nature: 'tān dviṣataḥ krūrān narādhamān'—these malicious, cruel, lowest among men. Those who abuse the divine, who are cruel, who are consumed by demonic qualities are the lowest—not in terms of social status, but in terms of spiritual evolution. 'Kṣipāmy ajasram aśubhān āsurīṣv eva yoniṣu'—I repeatedly hurl them into demonic wombs in the cycle of rebirth. This isn't about punishment—it's about the natural law of karma. Your qualities determine your next birth. If you're consumed by demonic qualities, you'll be born in demonic circumstances—environments that reinforce those qualities. This creates a cycle: demonic qualities → demonic birth → more demonic qualities → more demonic births. 'Ajasram'—repeatedly, continuously. This isn't a one-time consequence—it's a cycle that continues until you break free. The only way to break the cycle is to transform your qualities from demonic to divine.
