Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15, Verse 14
अहं वैश्वानरो भूत्वा प्राणिनां देहमाश्रितः | प्राणापानसमायुक्तः पचाम्यन्नं चतुर्विधम् ||
ahaṁ vaiśvānaro bhūtvā prāṇināṁ deham āśritaḥ prāṇāpāna-samāyuktaḥ pacāmy annaṁ catur-vidham
Having become the fire Vaisvanara, I abide in the bodies of living beings and, associated with the prana and apana, digest the four kinds of food.
Krishna reveals His presence in the most intimate way: 'Ahaṁ vaiśvānaro bhūtvā prāṇināṁ deham āśritaḥ'—having become the fire Vaisvanara, I abide in the bodies of living beings. Vaisvanara is the digestive fire—the fire that digests food. Krishna is present in your body as the digestive fire. 'Prāṇāpāna-samāyuktaḥ pacāmy annaṁ catur-vidham'—associated with prana (inhalation) and apana (exhalation), I digest the four kinds of food. Your breathing (prana and apana) and digestion are Krishna's energy. This reveals Krishna's intimate presence: not distant, but present in your body, in your breath, in your digestion. Every breath you take, every bite you digest—Krishna is present. This is the most personal revelation: the Supreme is not separate from you—He's in your body, in your breath, in your very life processes. Understanding this transforms how you see your body and life: not as separate from the Supreme, but as permeated by His presence.
