About This Mudra

Prana Mudra is considered the most important healing mudra in yoga tradition. It activates the dormant life force energy (Prana) within the body, improving vitality, immunity, and overall health.   1. 1Sit comfortably with spine straight and shoulders relaxed
  2. 2Rest both hands on your thighs or knees with palms facing upward
  3. 3On each hand, touch the tips of your ring finger and little finger (pinky) to the tip of your thumb
  4. 4Keep your index finger and middle finger extended straight and relaxed
  5. 5Form gentle circles with ring finger, pinky, and thumb
  6. 6Keep both hands in the same position
  7. 7Close your eyes and breathe deeply
  8. 8Focus awareness on the life force energy (Prana) within
  9. 9Visualize energy flowing throughout your body
  10. 10Hold for 5-15 minutes, feeling vitality increasing

Breathing Pattern

Breathe deeply and rhythmically. Inhale life force energy (Prana), exhale any weakness or fatigue. Feel energy flowing through your entire body with each breath.
